BAFTA Goes To Hong Kong

02 September 13

We are currently planning a range of exciting events and scholarships in Hong Kong that will bring together both British and Asian talent.

BAFTA exists to promote the art forms of the moving image both in the UK and across the globe. In recent months we have been working to build relationships in Hong Kong to showcase talent, encourage collaboration and engage with new audiences. BAFTA CEO Amanda Berry and Alex Cook Senior Manager: Talent Development are in Hong Kong until Wednesday 4 September.

Our aspiration is to celebrate the wealth of talent that exists in Asia and to encourage and facilitate exchange of views and ideas with international counterparts.

We are planning a range of events and scholarships in Hong Kong that will bring together both British and Asian talent, inspiring both the creators and audiences of the future. By broadening our international reach we hope to get people working together, stimulating creative ideas and cross cultural collaboration.

Mortal Instruments Cast And Crew and Film Aid
On 31 August BAFTA held a fundraising event at British Consul General's residence in Hong Kong attended by the cast and crew of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones as well as representatives from Hong Kong based charity, FilmAid.
